The Most Advanced DBMS/Application Development Environment You Can Buy for .Net".

Clarion.Net is our new .NET Integrated Development Environment with an implementation of the Clarion programming language running on .NET. The Clarion language has been extended to take full advantage of the .Net Framework. The Clarion language for .NET is dubbed Clarion#. It is tightly integrated with the the .NET Framework and makes all .NET Framework 2.0 libraries easily available to Clarion programmers, while maintaining compatibility with Clarion syntax and language features.

The Clarion# compiler was created specifically for Microsoft's .Net Framework. This means that it:

  • Produces Microsoft's Intermediate Language (MSIL) that executes under the Common Language Runtime (CLR). The compiler produces 100% verifiable .Net assemblies. This language-neutral, platform independent environment enables Clarion code to be mixed with any other .NET-supported language (such as C# and VB .NET) on any .NET-supported platform.
  • Extends Clarion OO syntax, and supports .NET-specific extensions, so that Clarion programs can be written to take full advantage of the .NET Framework classes.
  • The Clarion Runtime Library has been ported to 100% verifiable .Net code
  • Clarion.Net enables you to use you existing Clarion knowledege to build and deploy .Net applications today for all of the platforms supported by .Net (Desktop, Web, and Mobile).

These features allow you to bring Clarion fully into the world of .Net applications running on the Desktop, the Internet, and Mobile devices, including XML Web services and ASP.NET pages, and to integrate that code with code written in other .Net languages. The .NET Framework gives access to the latest technology, and Clarion for .NET ensures this is immediately available to Clarion programmers.

Clarion for .NET can be purchased in two different packages: Professional, and Enterprise. The Professional package contains the supporting components for the development of WinForm applications (Desktop) that will execute in the .NET environment, including invoking XML Web services. The Enterpise package contains the supporting components for the development of WinForm applications (Desktop), Web Forms applications (ASP.Net) and Compact Forms applications (Mobile Devices).
